Planning your Wedding Ceremony

Now for the fun part – planning your wedding ceremony. You can include poetry, verses, affirmations, blessings, music, special vows, special people, pets, cultural customs, rituals, etc.

I have a collection of poems/books/ideas for you to browse through. We will work together to organise the order of your Wedding Ceremony so it will flow smoothly. Like any successful journey you will need a Beginning, Highlights and A Happy Ending.

There is a lot to think about so I am happy to go at your own pace. However I will need you to send me all details of what you would like to include a month before your Ceremony so I have time to create your own Unique Ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal

A few days before your Wedding Day we will arrange to have a mini rehearsal preferably at your special place. 

We just go over the movements within your ceremony and where everyone will stand etc. Please try to get together as many of your bridal party who will be around at that time and your wedding and music co-ordinators (or friends who can help out).

We will also do any last minute paperwork, check the marriage certificate details are correct, sign the Declaration of No legal Impediment to the Marriage, to say there are:- No legal reasons as to why you wouldn’t be able to marry each other, since filling out the NOIM.

If you would like to obtain the Registered copy of your Marriage Certificate, I can organise this when I register your Marriage on-line.    There is a fee from Births, Deaths & Marriages Department, who processes and posts this Marriage Certificate – Registered Mail, out to yourselves.  Note: This is the only Marriage Certificate you can use to change either of your Surnames.                                                                                             

I will give you your pretty presentation Marriage Certificate on the day, but this one cannot be used to change your name/’s on passports, bank accounts, driving licences etc.

On the Day – Wedding Ceremony

On your Wedding Day I will arrive 45 minutes early, along with your wedding co-ordinator/friend to discuss any last minute details and check your ceremony location is all OK.

My preparations before the ceremony starts:

• Set up PA and microphone, make sure the signing table and two chairs are in place.
• Get together with your music co-ordinator and go through & set up any cues with them for when any music will be played throughout your ceremony & have a test run before your ceremony starts.
• Meet up with the ‘other’ bridal party members who were not at the rehearsal to make sure they know where they will be standing and whether they are involved in any movements within the ceremony.
• Make sure any readings have been given to the appropriate people. 
• Make sure the ring person HAS your rings. 
• Introduce myself to your family members
• Start greeting your guests as they arrive.

10 minutes before your Ceremony starts:                                                                I will gather anyone in the bridal party who will be joining myself up the front and ask them to take their positions, ask guests to sit down or come closer and make a short announcement that the ceremony is about to begin.

When I know the ‘walking in’ bridal party have arrived, we can start your beautiful Ceremony, which will be filled with Lots of Love and Moving Moments…

After your Wedding Ceremony I will leave you with the “pretty” Presentation Marriage Certificate and handcrafted Ceremony Script folders.
