Wedding Services

First of all, may I “Congratulate” you both on your proposed Wedding Celebration and wish you a Loving and Happy Life together..

What Happens Next?

  • Decide on a couple of dates and times.
  • Decide on a Special Place you have in mind for your Wedding Ceremony. If outside you may need a plan B, in case of bad weather.
  • Enquire with local authorities or venues if there are any fees or restrictions for use with having your Wedding Ceremony on their property. I can help you with the necessary phone numbers or who to contact.
  • Decide on the Type of Ceremony you want whether it will be traditional, religious, cultural, spiritual, themed, personal, intimate, formal, informal, serious, fun or exhilarating.
  • Phone or e-mail myself for a chat.
  • We will arrange a get to know each other meeting either at my house, or your special place or venue.

If you are happy to proceed we will fill out and sign your Notice of Intended Marriage Form. The NOIM must be lodged with your Marriage Celebrant at least one calendar month before your Wedding date and not more than 18 months prior to your ceremony date. A booking fee will also be taken at this stage, to hold your date and for the lodgement of the ‘Notice of Intended Marriage Form’ with myself. Your details will then be checked against the documentation you have provided and transferred onto the Births, Deaths and Marriages on-line Registering system. The rest of the account is payable 21 days before the ceremony date. You will need to bring your Original Birth Certificates or Passports along with photo identification and any other relevant documentation. This will be discussed on my first contact with you.

There is a lot to take in and think about, so I am happy to go at your own pace…  I will however need your ceremony details and information to create your unique story about yourselves, at least 1 month before your Wedding day, so I can start creating your Ceremony.

Planning your Wedding Ceremony

Now for the fun part – planning your wedding ceremony. You can use poetry, verses, affirmations, blessings, music, special vows, special people, cultural customs, rituals, etc.

It’s your Special Moment so let your Imagination go…

Try my special ritual on my home page to help you clear your mind and get you to your special place. Just close your eyes… ask your partner or friend to recite the ritual to you and jot down any thoughts or ideas. Try to keep focused on what you both want. Remember it’s Your Day.

I have a collection of poems/books/ideas for you to browse through. We will work together to organise the order of your Wedding Ceremony so it will flow smoothly. Like any successful journey you will need a Beginning, Highlights and A Happy Ending.

Wedding Rehearsal

The week before your Wedding we will arrange to have a mini rehearsal – just the movements within your ceremony and where everyone will stand etc, preferably at your special place, so try to get together as many of your bridal party who will be around at that time and your wedding and music co-ordinators (or friends who can help out). We will also do any last minute paperwork, check the marriage certificate details are correct, sign the Statutory Declaration, Marriage of No Impediment (a legality), to say you are still able to marry each other before solemnising your marriage, fill out application form with payment details to Births, Deaths and Marriages, to enable yourselves to obtain a copy of your Registered Marriage Certificate, so you can change your surnames – Optional, with government authorities and on your passports.

On Your Special Wedding Day

On your Wedding Day I will arrive 45 minutes early, along with your wedding co-ordinator to discuss any last minute details and check your location is all OK.

I will set up my PA and microphone, make sure the signing table and two chairs are in place,  meet your music co-ordinator and go through to set up cues with them when any music will be played throughout your ceremony & have a test run before your ceremony starts, meet up with the ‘other’ bridal party who won’t be walking down the natural aisle and make sure they know where they will be standing and whether they are involved in any movements within the ceremony, make sure any readings have been given to the appropriate people, make sure the ring person HAS your rings and greet your guests as they arrive.

10 minutes before the Ceremony starts, I will gather anyone in the bridal party who will be joining myself up the front and ask them to take their positions, ask guests to sit down or come closer and make a short announcement that the ceremony is about to begin.

When I know the ‘walking in’ bridal party have arrived, we can start your beautiful Ceremony, which will be filled with Lots of Love and Moving Moments…

After your Wedding Ceremony I will leave you with the “pretty” Presentation Marriage Certificate and handcrafted Ceremony Script folders.

What Happens After your Wedding Day.

After the solemnisation of your Marriage I will register your Marriage with the Births, Deaths and Marriages in the State or Territory that the Marriage took place and send details to yourselves. If you ordered and paid for your copy of Registered Marriage Certificate this will be sent out to yourselves at your address from that BDM department. In NSW we have an online system for registering your Marriage and applying for Certificates which takes away the stress of having to get together all your original documents again and makes the whole process much faster.

You can then Relax and Enjoy being a married couple and possibly get away for a few days on a Honeymoon.
